Apartments and Villas

Spain is one of the most popular destinations for holiday accommodation. Spain is a vast country with a historic interior and coastal areas on four sides - north, west, south and east. The northern and western coasts are rugged and face into the Atlantic and the Bay of Biscay. The eastern and southern coasts face into the Mediterranean. Coastal areas have the prefix "Costa". In the north we have the "Costa verde" or green coast. "Costa Dorada" is the golden coast. And the "Costa del sol" is the coast of the sun.

The more southerly parts of Spain tend to more popular with British tourists escaping our dull and wet weather.  The Costa del Sol is also part of Andalucia. Cheap flights to Malaga have made the Andalucian hinterland accessible all year round. The winters in Andalucia are not warm but they are less severe than UK's. Villa rental in Andalucia is growing in popularity. The beach areas of the major resorts may be crowded but inland there are pockets of attractive tranquility.

The area of Costa Blanca, within the region of Murcia, is the white coast, has many popular resorts such as San Miguel and La Ermita. Prices tend to be lower than in the Costa del Sol. The most popular airport is Alicante.
